Over at ZDnet, Andrew Brust has compiled a set of vendor Big Data predictions for 2013.
Rainstor, which itself offers a SQL-Hadoop hybrid product, predicts that companies will look to new technologies, other than Hadoop, when managing Big Data. That contrasts with Pervasive’s prediction that “Existing data warehouses will fail” and MapR’s take on the market, wherein “Hadoop pulled away from the other Big Data analytics alternatives.”
